Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan, plus more to serve
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp chopped basil
- Salt and freshly cracked pepper
Steps
- 1Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- 2While pasta cooks, warm olive oil in a wide skillet over medium-low heat. Add garlic and gently sizzle for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, not browned.
- 3Off the heat, stir in lemon zest and juice. Add the drained pasta with a splash of pasta water and toss to coat.
- 4Add parmesan and herbs, tossing again and loosening with more pasta water as needed until silky.
- 5Season with salt and pepper, and finish with extra parmesan on top.
